Your biggest risk is that because the economy is contracting, and possibly heading into a recession, that there will be no one to rent to, and there goes the income. It’s a good time to invest in common stock or other equities, though, because it’s all on “sale”.

Real Estate is real cheap now too. There are a lot of foreclosures to get into. With stocks, everything’s going down and there’s more chances for bankruptcy, but there are a lot of good values. If you want to, get into Real Estate. There are people to rent to. Where do you think the people who went into foreclosure go? They start renting out because they can’t afford anything else.

I would say this is one of the worst times to invest in Real Estate.
