Howw Much Does A Commercial Realtor Make?

By Brian and Jeff On August 18, 2009 Under Commercial Real Estate Loans

I am thinking of going into real estate as a side gig. Can anyone tell me how much a commercial realtor usually makes here in San Diego, CA? Is there someone that can give me and answer by experience? Thank you.

Commercial RE is probably the most challenging RE “side gig” because investors want to have constant access to you.
In my area, I see alot of 2% commissions for commercial.

For one thing, there are 550,000 real estate licencees in the state of CA.
There are not 550,000 deals in a year in CA.
The average licensee makes about $10,000 a year.
Real Estate if a full time job.
It’s OK to get a license but don’t expect to make any money part time.
Reak Estate has more to do with people than it does with houses.
