Can Foreigners Buy Real Estate In Korea Without A Korean Co-applicant?

Yes, and No.
You can buy the house, but lease the land for a long period of time (30years). Foreigners can own homes, but must lease the land. Usually done thru a Real Estate Company. You do not need to be married to a local national. You do need a valid passport and visa…

Hey marf, can you please give some substance to your answer. I am curious about this as well. I was under the impression that it could not happen, but I do not know for sure, so I did not offer an opinion.
Is it just coincidence that all the ex-pat bar owners have Korean spouses or partners?
